Stradbroke School OSHC Terms & Conditions
Upon enrolment you are agreeing to adhere to all Stradbroke OSHC policies. These are available to view at the service on request. You are also agreeing to have read and understood the current Kids' Zone Information Guide and take responsibility to keep up to date with updated copies as they are shared on the school's website and the OSHC Skoolbag account.
Communication
- I understand that the service has its own Skoolbag account, separate from the school's account which is one of the main tools used for communication. (Please search 'Stradbroke School OSHC' on the Skoolbag app to join).
- I understand that it is my responsibility to notify any changes to my email address to ensure I receive all important correspondence.
- I understand that all communication must be in writing, via email.
Signing In / Out
- I understand I am not to drop my child at the service prior to 7:00am and I must collect my child by 6:15pm.
- I understand that I must come into the hallway to sign my child in and out of the service using the iPad.
- I understand that any non-regular contacts must bring their ID to collect my child.
Clothing / Sun Protection
- I will ensure that my child/ren attend the service wearing sun safe clothing which is appropriate for physical activity and getting messy (tee-shirts covering the shoulders, no singlet tops).
- I will ensure my child/ren wear safe and comfortable shoes (no thongs or heels).
- I will ensure my child/ren bring a broad brimmed, bucket or legionnaires hat. In the event they don’t have one on an excursion day, I understand the service will charge my account a $10 hat fee and supply them with a hat which will then remain at the service for them to use to ensure their safety.
Belongings
- I accept full responsibility for my child/ren's belongings whilst taking part in the program. *Please note we discourage children from bringing personal items to the service as we are very large service and cannot monitor personal items.
- I will explain to my child/ren that they must hand in any devices or Chromebooks on arrival to the service and are only to use Chromebooks during the designated homework time (4:45pm-5:15pm.)
Food & Beverage
- I note that breakfast is provided from 7:15am-8:15am and if my child arrives outside this time, I am responsible for ensuring they have had breakfast.
- I note that afternoon tea is provided at approximately 3:30pm during OSHC and vacation care and I am able to make suggestions for the menu via email.
- I understand that I am responsible for providing my child with a nutritious recess and lunch during vacation care. I note that the service cannot heat up food or store lunch boxes in the fridge.
- I understand the service encourages the use of containers rather than single use packaging.
- I will provide a drink bottle for my child filled with water for every session. In the event my child/ren do not have a bottle, one will be provided and I understand my account will be charged $2.50.
- I will adhere to the service's strict nut free policy.
Excursions
- I will adhere to the designated drop off times for the excursions, as outlined on the vacation care program. I understand that if my child arrives past this time, they will not be accepted to stay at the service, as they are required to be present for all safety talks, collect their safety-wear and be counted to ensure their safety. Fees will remain applicable.
- I undertsand my child cannot be dropped to an excursion venue.
- I understand that it is my responsibility to discuss the excursion with my child and that last minute changes cannot be made.
- I will not knowingly send my child who gets motion sickness to an excursion which may provoke this condition.
- I understand that my child must adhere to the Behaviour Guidance policy on excursions and I may be asked to collect them from an excursion if they aren't.
- I understand that on excursions the service will group children to be best of its ability, however bus lists and groups are made in advance so unless I email the service at the time of booking regarding special friendship requests that the groups can not be adjusted.
- I understand that spending money is never permitted.
- I understand that excursions may need to be cancelled due to heat, wet weather, fires or Covid-19 restrictions and that the service will notify families via Skoolbag (Stradbroke School OSHC) as early as possible of the replacement experience.
- I acknowledge that excursions are transported by Kanga Coachlines and Access Cabs.
- I acknowledge that risk assessments have been completed for all excursions and are availble to view on request.
Creek
I understand that the service occasionally takes groups of children down to the creek for walks and educational experiences which are designed to assist the children in reaching the learning outcomes.
Seesaw (documenting children's learning)
- I give permission for photographs and information capturing my child/ren learning at the service to be shared with families using the service using the secure online platform, 'Seesaw'.
- I understand I am not to re-share any photos from Seesaw / the service on social media.

Invacuations and Evacuations
I understand that the service is required to conduct regular invacuations and evacuations which my child may be a part of.
Information Disclosure
I acknowledge that Stradbroke School OSHC may be required to disclose information to Stradbroke School, the Department of Education and other government agencies. I understand that the service adheres to the Privacy Act 1988 and will ensure that information in my child/ren's enrolment record is not divulged to another person unless necessary for the care or education of my child/ren, to manage medical treatment of my child/ren, where expressly authorised by the parent, prescribed in the Childrens' Services Regulations 2009 (regulation 35(1)(d-e), if required by law or in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988.
Medical Treatment
- I authorise educators with first aid training to administer first aid or medication to my child where required.
- I authorise the service; an approved provider or nominated supervisor or educator to seek medical treatment of my child/ren for: Medical treatment from registered medical practitioner, hospital or ambulance service including transportation of my child/ren by ambulance service.
General
- Except as otherwise expressly required by law, Stradbroke School OSHC does not accept any liability for personal injury, property damage or loss sustained by any participant as a result of his or her participation at the service due to any cause whatsoever unless caused by proven negligence.
- I declare that the information in this enrolment is true and correct and undertake to immediately inform the service in the event of any changes to this information.
- I understand that Stradbroke School OSHC reserves the right to change the terms & conditions at any time.
- By accepting these terms and conditions online I consent to this platform as an electronic signature.
